This is a beautiful baby utensil set and makes an impressive gift. The design is deeply etched into the pieces and looks more expensive than it actually is.

2. Too heavy for a baby/toddler
I bought this set for my 1 year old - I did not expect her to use it right away but wanted to have it for the time when she is ready to start using a spoon and a fork. I thought that the characters were entertaining, and the short handles would be convenient to hold. The items turned to be so heavy that there is no way an average toddler would find them comfortable to use, especially a girl. The handles are also quite wide for a toddler's hand - I don't think it's comfortable to hold (regardless of the way they would hold it). I've also found that the fork prongs are very wide for a baby's mouth - on the picture it looks cute but in real life it's pretty big - as if it was made for an adult. Overall, disappointed, I did not even try giving it to my child - it's now collecting dust in my pantry.
